Believe in the Messengers

Believe in the commissioned messengers is the forth pillar of Iman. As for the opening on the seerah of the prophets, I picked up family tree or ‘salasilah’ of 25 prophets (Nabi), very fascinating facts. Only Allah knows the true numbers of His prophets and messengers (Rasool) whom were chosen to humankind since Adam (peace and blessing be upon him).

They were chosen by Allah the Lord to deliver His message and guidance to human in different time and places, as guide towards the righteous path. Since the beginning of time, God has sent His guidance through these chosen people. They were human beings who taught the people around them about faith in One Almighty God, and how to walk on the path of righteousness.

Some prophets also revealed God's word through books of revelation, namely Torah (Tawraat), Psalms (Zabur), Bible (Injeel) and Qur'an. It is said that every messenger is a prophet. There were thousands of prophets that God send to every tribes and among this thousands, 300 hundred are messengers. Among them, 25 are the most prominent said in the Qur'an. They are:

  1. Adam a.s
  2. Idris (Enoch) a.s
  3. Nuh (Noah) a.s
  4. Hud (Heber) a.s
  5. Saleh (Methusaleh) a.s
  6. Ibrahim (Abraham) a.s
  7. Lut (L0ot) a.s
